Your first 10 minutes with Revafone

The fastest path from sign-up to a fully working call-answering service that books jobs while you're on the tools.

Step 1 — Pick your number (60 seconds)

Choose a brand-new local number, a 1300 number, or forward your existing business line. 92% of tradies use call forwarding from their mobile — it takes 30 seconds and you keep the number your customers already know.

Step 2 — Tell Revafone about your business (3 minutes)

Drop in your trade, service area, business hours, and the 3–5 questions you'd want a great receptionist to ask. Revafone uses this to qualify every caller the way you would on a good day.

Step 3 — Pick a voice and greeting (2 minutes)

Choose from natural Aussie, UK, or US voices. Either type your greeting and we'll voice it, or record your own in the browser.

  • Friendly default greeting works out of the box
  • Personalised greetings lift booking rates by 18%
  • You can change it any time from your dashboard

Step 4 — Test it (1 minute)

Hit "Call my receptionist" in the dashboard. Talk to it like a customer. Tweak anything that doesn't sound right. Go live.

The 3 settings that move the booking-rate needle

Spend 5 minutes on these and you'll book 20–35% more jobs from the same call volume.

1. Qualifying questions (the most underrated setting)

Add 3–5 questions you wish every caller answered before you arrived: 'Is this a leaking pipe or a slow drain?', 'Single or double storey?', 'Owner-occupier or rental?'. Better-qualified leads mean tighter quotes and higher conversion.

2. After-hours behaviour

Decide what Revafone does at 11pm: book the next available slot, take a message, or trigger an emergency call-out fee quote. Businesses that enable after-hours booking add an average of 11 jobs per month with zero extra work.

3. Confirmation SMS

Auto-send a confirmation SMS the moment a booking is made. No-shows drop by 42% on average. Switch it on — there's no reason not to.

5 setup mistakes that cost customers jobs

We've reviewed thousands of accounts. These are the only mistakes worth worrying about.

Mistake 1 — Vague service area

'Sydney' is too broad. List actual suburbs. Revafone will politely turn away out-of-area calls so you don't waste a slot driving 90 minutes for a $90 job.

Mistake 2 — No after-hours behaviour set

Defaulting to 'take a message' means you'll lose every emergency caller to the next plumber in the search results.

Mistake 3 — One-size-fits-all greeting

A 15-second branded greeting outperforms a generic one every time. Mention your business name, your trade, and that 'we'll have you sorted today'.

Mistake 4 — No calendar connected

Without a calendar, Revafone can only take messages. Connect Google or Outlook to unlock real-time booking — the single biggest lift in customer outcomes.

Mistake 5 — Not telling your team

Make sure your staff know calls might now arrive as fully-qualified bookings in their inbox, not as ringing phones.
